It sure was one fine day to be working outside. I was asked to clear up a bit of woodland at the front of a house in Little Eaton. There were quite a few self seeded trees, mainly juvenile Sycamore (Acer pseudoplatanus) and a few messy Elder trees (Sambucus nigra). It’s really opened up the area and it does look a lot tidier now with the beautiful Silver Birch tree (Betula pendula) now a focal point, and free to fill its space without interfering trees. The area is now going to be graded with a JCB, fenced and replanted with a hedge.
We chipped back onto the ground and most of the wood will be logged, split and used as firewood during the winter months once seasoned.
